Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter

Ok, so I was hesitant to try these because to me it just looks like a glorified chapstick sort of thing but a friend of mine, cinamon2304@yahoo.com (who also has a blog-check her out! It's far better than mine at the moment, lol) told me they are really wonderful and I have always loved Revlon soooo I finally broke down and bought one. I bought Strawberry Shortcake and I was pleasantly surprised! It feels like an expensive chapstick or lip balm but the color is lovely. Not as pigmented as a lipstick but it isn't colorless like most of these products tend to be. I will def be purchasing more colors and will update you all when I do.

Eyeshadow review...

So it's been some time since I bought my first L'oreal Infallible eye shadow and let me just say-Oh Em Gee. These things are amazing. Silky texture, color payoff is amazing, last FOREVER, not super pricey, easy to find. I heart them. I started with the Purple shade because I always like a purple smokey eye and was so obsessed I have purchased every. Single. One. I love them all. They do have a lot of shimmer in them so if your the type of person that doesn't like shimmer you wouldn't like them but I really have no complaints about them. They are amazing!! I highly suggest them. I forgot to take pics/swatches so that will have to wait but they are definitely worth buying.

I'm dying to try....

So lemme' just say-YouTube is so addicting! I have been sucked in to the makeup videos. I was watching a video on the new L'oreal infallible eye shadows. Oh em geee for lack of a better word! I WANT. I feel like a tiny child saying "Gimme, gimme gimme!!". They look fabulous. Needless to say, that is next on my makeup list and I will definitely be purchasing soon. Stay tuned for a review of the fabulous-ness...

My thoughts....

Originally, this blog was started as a diary a couple years ago to pass time at my extremely pathetic job. I left for quite a long time and just recently realized it still existed. Since I have some hard things going on I decided to get back into it, so to speak. I have many passions in life, but one that has always been a constant since I was three years old, sitting on the bathroom counter watching my mom put on her face, has been makeup. I know this isn't really unique and there are so many blogs out there dedicated to this subject, but since I do love it, I am going to make it a larger part of my blog. Not the only part, but a big part. I hope all my info is helpful and I am by no means a professional, I just love makeup and know a lot about it. Enjoy!

Reviews of yet more makeup....story of my life...LOL...

I recently purchased a couple of mascaras and thought I would tell you how they worked for me....I bought the Lash Stiletto, from Maybelline I believe, and I have to say...not impressed at all. Very expensive too. I have really long eyelashes that don't hold a curl worth a shit and this mascara made my eyelashes stick straight. I think if your eyelashes were really short it would work great but if you have eyelashes like me, skip it. I also bought Cover Girl Lash Blast Luxe, which has shimmer in it...by far my favorite mascara I have ever tried thus far. Works really well. The brush is weird because it's plastic and really big but I highly recomend it. Works really great. I have also purchased Exact Eyelights for hazel eyes by Cover Girl in Black Gold. Allegedly, this mascara has sparklies in it that are suppossed to enhance your eye color and what not...I don't see it. My eyes look the same. My eyelashes look like I am wearing mascara and that's about the only difference, lol. I really don't like the brush either. It's small, hard plastic, and it isn't very comfortable to use when applying. I might buy it again but I doubt it. It is waterproof though, which is nice for the pool or what not, but it's hard as hell to get off. Even with eye makeup remover. Like I said though, if you live in a humid climate, swim a lot, or are going to the beach or vacation it's really good in that aspect. Anyways, hope all who read this liked it and found it helpful....

EBay...My new love for cosmetics...

I have discovered my new love for finding cosmetics. It is Ebay.....I have found that Hong Kong specifically has fantastic makeup. It has to be approved by the FDA to be shipped into the US so you know it's safe, and it's cheap! The price is great without the product being cheap. I recently bought a 120 eyeshadow pallete and a 24 Miss Rose lip gloss set. I have also purchased a Stila My Mother My Hero set for only twenty bucks! It really is wonderful...This is my 120 pallet here as well as a 42 blush and eyeshadow pallet from coastalscents.com. You can't see the blush though, it's stacked under the eyeshadow. It comes in matte and shimmer. It's really great. And only $24.00 (plus shipping of course....) I have also found that they have really great and inexpensive brush sets on ebay too. I have a ponk 25 brush set with a faux pink leather roll case. It was only $30.00 and the quality is exceptional. Comparable to MAC I think.
